One WhatsApp chat, two kinds of help
The assistant is there for the eleven o'clock panic. The teacher is there for the thing the assistant cannot fix. You do not have to decide which you need - you just ask.

- Set up in your teacher's teaching style, in the same WhatsApp chat you already use. It works through a question a step at a time instead of dropping an answer, and it follows the conversation, so a follow-up question just works.
- A real teacher reading along
- Not a support queue and not a different person each time - the named teacher whose profile you chose. They see what you have been stuck on before they say a word, so you are not explaining yourself from the beginning.
- Photos, PDFs and voice notes, both directions
- Send a photo of the page, a whole worksheet PDF, or a voice note when typing the maths is harder than saying it. Your teacher can send the same back - a worked solution photographed, a voice note talking you through it, a PDF of practice. Voice is transcribed, so nothing is lost if you would rather read it.
- Practice and tests set for you
- Your teacher can assign practice or a test from their portal. It arrives in the chat; you reply DONE when you have finished, and they see it. No AI call, no credit, no fuss.
- One chat, one place
- There is no app, no login and no separate portal for the student. The assistant, your teacher's replies, your worksheets and your practice all land in the same WhatsApp thread.

Prices are per month and include the AI assistant, the teacher reading your chats, and their replies when you need them. Longer plans cost less per month, the same way the AI-only plans do.
No teachers are taking students right now
New teachers join regularly, and a teacher who is full stops appearing here until a place opens. In the meantime the AI-only plan is the same assistant in the same WhatsApp chat - and if you already know the teacher you want, email support@nxtutors.com and we will tell you when they have room.
Before you buy
What your teacher can see, and what they cannot
This plan puts an adult inside a child's study chat. That is worth being precise about, so here is the whole of it - including the parts that are limits on us.
- Your teacher is a person, not a service level
- There is no guaranteed reply time and we do not promise one. They may be teaching, asleep or on leave. The assistant keeps answering the whole time, which is the point of having both.
- They see your messages, not your phone number
- Your number is masked in their portal. They see your first name, the chat and nothing that would let them contact you off TutorTwin.
- They see from the day you chose them
- Not a word before it. If you used TutorTwin on your own for a year first, that year stays yours.
- Contact details are blocked in both directions
- Phone numbers, email addresses and links to other chat apps are refused going each way - including a number split across two messages to get around it. Conversations with a child stay somewhere we can see them.
- The assistant is always an AI
- It says so. It never signs as your teacher, never claims to be human and never promises when a person will reply.

Is the AI actually my teacher?
No. What answers you day to day is an AI study assistant set up in your teacher's teaching style. It never claims to be your teacher and it never pretends to be human. Your teacher is a separate, real person who reads the chats and replies in them under their own name.
Can my teacher really see my chats?
Yes - that is the point of this plan, and you agree to it before you pay. Your teacher can read the conversation from the day you chose them, so that when they step in they already know what you have been stuck on. They cannot see anything from before that day, and your phone number is hidden from them.
What happens when I ask for my teacher?
Type "ask my teacher" at any time. Your teacher gets an alert with what you asked, and their reply comes back into the same WhatsApp chat, clearly marked as from them. Asking again in the next half hour adds to the same alert rather than sending another, so your teacher sees one clear request instead of five. Teachers are people, so a reply takes as long as it takes - the AI keeps helping meanwhile.
Does my teacher get told every time I send something?
No, and that is deliberate. They are alerted when you ask for them, and when the assistant is not confident enough in its own answer - for example when its checker disagrees with it, or it says outright that it cannot do something. Ordinary questions it handles well do not interrupt anyone. Everything is still readable in their portal whenever they choose to look.
Who agrees to the teacher reading, if I am under 18?
Your parent or guardian. The agreement is taken before payment and recorded against the order, and nothing is shared with the teacher until it exists. It is the same for a student added by a teacher from their own portal: the teacher has to confirm the student or their parent agreed first.
Can I send a voice note or a photo to my teacher?
Yes, and they can send them back. Photos, worksheet PDFs and voice notes travel both ways. Voice notes are transcribed, so the words are there to read as well as hear, and so the assistant can use what you said when it helps you next.
What if my teacher never replies?
The assistant carries on answering as normal - you are never left with nothing. If a teacher goes quiet for good, email support@nxtutors.com and we will move you to another teacher or to the AI-only plan, whichever you prefer.
What does it cost, and what am I paying the extra for?
Each teacher sets their own monthly price, shown on their card below, and the longer plans work out cheaper per month exactly as they do on the AI-only plans. The extra over AI-only is the teacher: a real person reading your chats and answering when the assistant is not enough.
Can I change teachers, or stop?
Yes. Email support@nxtutors.com to switch - your remaining days move across to the new teacher. Nothing renews by itself: there is no standing instruction on your card, so a plan simply ends unless you buy again.
What if I would rather not have a teacher reading?
Then take the AI-only plan instead. It is the same assistant in the same chat, with nobody else reading it.
